What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

– Validate services, applications, and websites are designed according to secure development standards
– Collaborate with various teams to integrate security into the product lifecycle
– Define security requirements and provide remediation guidance to developers
– Perform security architecture design reviews and threat modeling
– Research, define, and communicate security processes and standards

What is Required (Qualifications):

– Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Computer Science
– Minimum 4 years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, or related fields
– Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25
– Knowledge of common vulnerabilities, encryption technologies, and authentication protocols
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

– Master’s degree in a related field
– 6 years of experience within cybersecurity
– Relevant certifications such as CEH, GSEC, CISM, CISSP, etc.
– Experience with application penetration testing
– Success in implementing effective Secure SDLC frameworks
