The Senior Manager will possess employee and labor relations expertise. They will display excellent judgment and highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. The Senior Manager will be equally as comfortable influencing senior leaders to gain strategic alignment and, support. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of tenured professionals.
This is a full-time position that reports to the People, eXperience and Technology, WW Consumer Operations organization for Amazon.com. The successful candidate must be capable of significant North American travel, sometimes with short notice.
Key job responsibilities
? Subject Matter Expert: Bring a deep understanding of employment and labor law, Provide in-depth insights on labor relations and updates on any legislative or regulatory changes.
? Analyze and Interpret Data: Exercise analytical skills using data and anecdotes to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations; demonstrate the ability to define and measure the success of programs. High data literacy is required.
? Communicate Effectively: Rapidly produce high-quality written communications that concisely analyze problems and move solutions from concept to execution
? Lead Through Others: Build constructive relationships with critical stakeholders and peers to share information, influence change, and leverage resources to deliver results
? Problem Solve: Work independently with minimal supervision, in ambiguous and high-pressure situations, and persevere over internal and external barriers to drive resolutions
? Lead and develop a team: Create and head up a team of labor relations professionals. Establish systems and practices to build and develop the team

Basic Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree required
? 10+ years of relevant experience in industrial relations
? Experience with general labor relations practices including campaign activity,
? Experience successfully influencing senior leaders in a matrix organization
? Demonstrated ability to quickly connect with people across a wide variety of backgrounds
? Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate
? Successful record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale
? Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint; curious about new learning technologies
Preferred Qualifications
? Experience building and leading a new function
? Master’s or Juris Doctorate preferred
? 5+ years of people management experience
? Leadership experience in distribution, logistics and/or transportation industries highly desired
? Experience supporting large hourly workforces is highly desired
