Responsibilities:
As recorded in the Collective Agreement with MoveUP Together (COPE Local 378), the responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Performing routine word processing, with the aid of existing templates, routine reports, correspondence, memoranda and standard office forms
- Responding to routine registrant enquiries (in-person, by telephone and/or by e-mail); refers more complex enquiries as directed
- Creating, processes and maintains a variety of files, records, spreadsheet and related materials following BCCNM policies and procedures
- Performing various office functions such as sorting, filing, and retrieving files, and documents, photocopying and assembling documents, and creating various forms
- Performing basic and complex data entry for processing material such as registrant applications
- Performing other clerical and data-processing functions
Education and Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a secondary school diploma
- Ability to type at least 50 wpm
- Demonstrate intermediate skills in standard office software applications, in particular, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio)
- Ability to exercise some degree of independence of judgment and action
- Ability to organize own work and establish priorities without continuous supervision
- Ability to follow procedures, practices and directions as related to the duties of the job
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize own work without continuous supervision
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work and interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others in the team and the public
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion of information received while performing regular work functions
