Position Duties
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
      • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
      • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
      • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
      • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
      • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Must have taken BA360 or BA240 or the equivalent of Introduction to finance and passed with a A- or better
  • Be proficient in using and introducing AI tools
  • Must be an Oregon State University Student
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • AI knowledge and usage
  • Basic financial management knowledge
  • (The above two qualifications can be in one person or be split between two assistants)
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
  • Total 2-6 hours of work per week
  • Job function can be performed fully remotely
  • Potential continuation into Spring and summer

\n This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) BA360 Teaching Assistant positions for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU).\n <\u002Fdiv>\n

This position is for BA360 teaching assistants. It can be performed fully remote. Some AI components are to be introduced in this class for the first time. Looking for someone proficient in using and introducing AI tools to students.\n <\u002Fdiv>\n

  • Assist with AI introduction to be used in the course (this can be performed by a separate assistant) Help with some basic grading or grade upload<\u002Fli> \n
  • Going over some course materials and doing trial runs when requested<\u002Fli> \n
  • Help with proctoring or going over proctoring results<\u002Fli> \n
  • Follow up with students who need additional help<\u002Fli> \n <\u002Ful> \n <\u002Fdiv>\n
