We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and help support our efforts in delivering aid and rebuilding communities.

Position: Disaster Relief Team Members

Location: Puerto Rico (Various Locations)

Duration: Temporary, Immediate Openings

Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Assistance: Conduct on-the-ground assessments of disaster-affected areas to evaluate the extent of damage and identify immediate needs of residents.
  2. Distribution of Aid: Coordinate the distribution of essential supplies such as food, water, shelter materials, and medical supplies to impacted communities.
  3. Community Outreach: Engage with local residents to provide information about available resources, assistance programs, and FEMA’s support services.
  4. Logistical Support: Assist in logistical operations including transportation, inventory management, and warehouse organization to ensure efficient distribution of relief supplies.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of aid distribution, assessments, and interactions with residents for reporting and accountability purposes.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other relief agencies, government entities, and community organizations to maximize the impact of relief efforts and avoid duplication of services.

Requirements:

  • Residency: Candidates must be residents of Puerto Rico or willing to relocate temporarily for the duration of the assignment.
  • Availability: Must be available for immediate deployment and willing to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and walking in potentially challenging and hazardous environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents, team members, and partner organizations.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Emergency Response Training: Prior experience in disaster response, emergency management, or related fields is preferred but not required. FEMA training and certifications will be provided.
