Job Title: Library Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Library Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with the organization and maintenance of library resources, providing support to library patrons, and contributing to the overall efficiency of library operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the organization and shelving of library materials
  • Perform routine cataloging and inventory tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service to library patrons, including assisting with inquiries and locating resources
  • Assist with the maintenance of library equipment and facilities
  • Support library programs and events as needed
  • Collaborate with library staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a library or similar environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of library management systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities

Experience: Previous experience in a library or related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours: This is a  Full time position, with fixed hours based on the needs of the library.
