We work closely with product and business teams across the world to better serve our customers throughout North America, Europe, and South East Asia, etc. Alibaba.com was the first business of Alibaba.com since 1999.

We’re looking for an experienced content strategist to join our team and lend a human touch to some of the most complicated corners of Alibaba.com. You will be at the forefront of groundbreaking initiatives and play a crucial role in the use of content strategy to drive business results. You’ll work on everything from awareness-content-building to AI content implementation, with the primary goal of communicating information effectively and efficiently and creating a positive experience for our users.

 

Responsibilities

● Combine understanding of business objectives and user experience needs to create high-quality and localized English user interface content for Alibaba.com app and web

● Build content taxonomies within Alibaba.com AI products based on awareness content and author prompts that demonstrate ideal interactions with Alibaba.com AI products

● Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, UX researchers, and developers to ensure that the copy complements the design and functionality of the products

● Follow the brand style guide and content guidelines to ensure all content delivered is accurate with consistent voice and tone

● Manage and track project progress to ensure that all requests are delivered on time

● Adapt to business changes and make necessary adjustments based on business priorities by coordinating with stakeholders promptly

● Use data and analytics to understand how users interact with content and to identify opportunities for optimization

 

Basic Qualifications

● 3+ years of related full-time experience in help or support content, user education content, technical writing, or content strategy

● BA/BS or equivalent in communication, linguistics, information sciences, or similar field

● Experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai

● Strong short-form writing and copy-editing skills

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

● Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-evolving environment, with the capacity to adapt to changing project needs

● Writing portfolio with support or user education content, direct or transactional emails, style guides, etc

 

Preferred Qualifications

● Strong project management skills, including managing projects from start to finish, developing and working toward set deadlines, identifying project goals, and tracking progress

● Experience working on projects involving cross-functional team collaboration

● Experience working with teams from various countries around the world, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability

● Passionate about content strategy and development in AI tools

● Solid understanding of B2B e-commerce experience

● Open-minded and receptive to different cultures and ideas
