As a Principal PM Manager of the Azure Communication Services team, you will lead the future of B2C communication by bringing in the power of generative AI enabling developers to build intelligent, and secure communication experiences. You will empower businesses to connect seamlessly with their customers through their preferred channels, on a cloud scale. Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term vision and strategy for an intelligent B2C communication platform enabling developers to leverage the power of generative AI to create effective AI agents and Copilots for Voice channel.
  • Model and coach team to translate vision/strategy into a prioritized roadmap based on deep understanding of customer needs, market and user research, the competitive landscape, and Microsoft’s business goals and strategy.
  • Communicate platform product strategy to internal and external customers and builds consensus through multiple methods (e.g., conference presentations, collaboration with partner organizations).
  • Act as a subject matter expert and drives teams to collaborate with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to identify product release criteria, customer acquisition, usage, retention, and monetization strategies.
  • Ensure teams build trust with a targeted selection of customers across sectors. Orchestrates a line of communication with complex and advanced customers to capture feedback and insights through the product development lifecycle.
  • Oversee teams in influencing and landing difficult platform tradeoffs with peers and managing the team through it.
  • Oversee teams to ensure alignment between the roadmap for the feature(s)/feature areas (e.g., product, service) and Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
  • Experience in managing and growing a team of Product Managers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering cloud-based communication software solutions
