Ups Clearance Agent Remote Jobs – WFH

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Remote UPS Clearance Agent. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the smooth clearance of shipments through customs for our clients using the UPS platform. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customs entries and forwarding freight to designated locations; involves interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
• Communicates documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor
• Prepares Customs entries and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared
• Coordinates freight delivery to designated locations
• Resolves finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
• Files entries to customs via the Brokerage Operations Support System (BOSS) in a timely and accurate manner
• Scan entries into the Image Management (IM) system meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements
• Prepares reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases
• Reviews documents and assessment of accuracy, verifying country of origin/export, Importer of Record (IOR), terms of sale, and value to ensure that compliance and federal regulation requirements are achieved
• Follows up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers and foreign origins
• Displays judgment and independent initiative are required to identify, adapt, and apply approaches to solve problems and to interpret policy
• Establishes and maintains client relationships
• Displays ability to manage several accounts, while providing excellent customer service, accurate and timely submission of documentation

Preferences

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Possesses basic Computer skills
• Displays ability to multitask and gives strong attention to detail
• Demonstrates intermediate communication (verbal/written) skills
• Displays ability to project a professional image to the customer and to represent UPS SCS in a positive manner
• Customs Brokerage experience
