Role Overview

The Associate, Creative Talent will support our talent across Feature Animation at Netflix. The Associate, Creative Talent will work closely with Artist Managers in supporting creative talent through an inclusive and meaningful experience. Through active partnership with Artist Managers and cross-functional teams, they will help connect talent and their potential to our studio needs.

This person should have a passion for Animation, experience working with artists or in animation. Key to success is exceptional listening and communication skills, as well as an understanding of production needs in Animation. Experience in production, development, talent support/recruiting is preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works with Artist Managers to ensure the timely crewing and casting of internal talent to all projects at Feature Animation at Netflix
  • Partner with Artist Managers, creators/producers and talent to understand the diverse needs of different productions, pipelines and disciplines
  • Facilitates regular connection moments with talent & artists to develop knowledge of roles and responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to consistent communication with artists regarding their start/end dates, upcoming opportunities and transitions from show to show
  • Responsible for a core group of artists under the direction of the department artist manager; including but not limited to, facilitating artist 1:1’s, transfer opportunities, promotional opportunities and offboarding communication
  • Maintains a culture of communication, candor and trust and works to build lasting relationships with all internal talent
  • Assists with the transition process for all talent, ensuring smooth and timely communication to talent, show and x-functional partners
  • Supports engagement and positive morale by supporting with the creation of regular department meetings and community building efforts

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Person Specification:

  • 5+ years experience in an animation production capacity, knowledge of animation workflows, processes and artistic pipeline
  • Prior experience in Animation Production, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and/or HR
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Innovative thinker, challenges status quo and suggest better approaches and solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner with creative leadership, content and production executives and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work within multiple project management tools in an ever evolving environment
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Suite, Airtable, and Microsoft Office preferred
