Essential Functions And Accountabilities
- Develop custom Shopify Plus themes, templates, and features to meet the specific needs of our furniture eCommerce site
- Customize existing themes and templates to meet requirements
- Implement and maintain Shopify applications and integrations to enhance site functionality and improve user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the website’s design and user interface align with our brand identity and customer expectations
- Optimize website performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and overall user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors to ensure the website functions smoothly at all times
- Stay updated on the latest Shopify features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve our eCommerce site
- Conduct quality assurance testing to identify and address any usability or functionality issues before deploying updates or new features
- Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed
Knowledge & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful Shopify projects
- 2-5 years of experience with Shopify Plus development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with Liquid templating language
- Deep understanding of Shopify platform capabilities, including theme customization, app development, and API integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Experience with responsive web design principles and techniques to ensure optimal performance across all devices
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and eCommerce analytics tools
- Knowledge of Platform as a Service middleware technologies like Heroku
