The Summer Intern session is a 12-week , full-time ( 40 hours Monday-Friday ) program while the Co-op cohort s typically run 16-weeks in the Spring and Fall . In both program s, students are paid a competitive hourly rate. Continue reading to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

What you’ll do

Brainstorm with engineers on cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop real-time high-performance software to control and schedule fleets of mobile robots.
Apply best practices to the design of data structures and algorithms. Strive for both simplicity and performance.
Produce high-quality software contributing to projects that have a significant impact on the business.
Simulate robot behavior using internal simulation tools during feature development.
Confirm intended behavior with physical robots at our on-site Integrated Testing Center after completion of a feature.
Learn from your team members through design and code reviews.
Visit a production Symbotic site.

What you’ll need

You have completed or are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, , Robotics, Engineering or related field.
You have experience with event driven architectures, messaging systems and protocols such as RabbitMQ.
You have solid experience with Object Oriented Programming; C# strongly preferred.
You have contributed to a structured code base under source control, such as git.
You are interested to work in a dynamic Agile/Scrum based environment.
You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures and algorithms
You are a proactive communicator who enjoys working closely with creative and technical peers.
You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
You enjoy getting free breakfast and lunch
Bonus points if you have any of the following
Experience with path planning algorithms, dynamic simulation
Played with mobile robots as part of classes or extracurricular activities
