Location: US remote-friendly

The Ads Supply Optimization team is growing and we are looking for an experienced software engineer to be part of the journey of developing a world-class marketplace and optimizing for users, advertisers and Reddit value.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a vision to improve Supply Optimization. You will design experiments to generate insights of marketplace dynamics and trade-offs, design and build algorithms to smartly distribute inventory to improve delivery efficiency, integrate ad content with organic posts to provide best user experience and explore new placements that provide seamless ad experience with the organic content.

This person will be an industry technical leader with domain knowledge in marketplace dynamics, strong execution and cross-functional management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and improve backend systems to maximize values for users, advertisers and Reddit
  • Execute a vision and roadmap for supply optimization to improve user experience
  • Lead junior engineers in implementing technical designs
  • Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to innovate and build products
  • Design end-to-end technical solutions to customer problems
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources
  • Lead other engineers in implementing technical designs

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience optimizing ads marketplace dynamics
  • 1+ years of experience leveraging quantitative analysis skills in your role
  • Experience in supply or page optimization is preferred but not required
  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
  • Desire to mentor other engineers and level-up the team’s strength
