Consultant/Senior Accountant

WP and Associates CPA’s PC is seeking a candidate that is looking to grow into the consulting and advisory space, as well as being part of creating something greater. This would require someone focused on building their knowledge in mindset, financial analytics and vision development for themselves as well as for clients. The job would include meeting with clients to help them unlock mindset issues (such as self-limiting beliefs and fears), develop a personal and business vision, planning and goal setting, prepare financial analytics, and develop strategic tax plans that align with the client’s goals.

At our firm we strive to provide a healthy work-life balance with a 35 hour work week outside of tax season and an average 50 hour work week during tax season. Our goal is to achieve a 40 hour or less tax season in the near future with the help of a qualified candidate. There is an opportunity for this to be a hybrid or a fully remote position.

In addition, this position would also support two partners in the following areas:

• Network and client development opportunities
• Prepare/review compilation and review engagements
• Prepare/review complex tax returns for our business and individual clients
• Handle taxing authority compliance issues
• Tax planning and research

Requirements:

• Experience working directly with clients in the area of consulting, fractional CFO, or strategic tax planning
• Tax/Accounting experience – 4+ years required
• Bachelor’s Degree
• CPA license or candidate

Experience in any of the following software is preferred:

UltraTax, ProSeries, Prosystem FX Tax and Engagement, Lacerte, Zoom/Google Meet, QuickBooks (desktop and online), Microsoft Excel and Word.
