Job summary:

The Interpreting Services Specialist will be an integral member of the Operations team. They will communicate with interpreters, clients, and consumers to ensure that scheduling operations is seamless. They will have a special focus on post-secondary operations and cross-trained to work with other corporate clients.

  • Complete assigned tasks/duties, projects and paperwork promptly and accurately

What you’ll do:

  • Manage service requests, quotes, scheduling and follow ups
  • Follow set procedures outlined for the scheduling process
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, consumers, and interpreters
  • Entry of assignment information into our portal for interpreter assignments
  • Assist clients, consumers and interpreters with tech support for various platforms
  • Other data entry duties required by management

What you’ll bring:

  • Conversationally fluent in American Sign Language and strong written English skills
  • A minimum of 5 years administrative/customer service experience
  • Fast and accurate data processing skills with the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to establish priorities, work and think independently without direct supervision
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to self-start and self-motivate
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology platforms
