The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center (WKCAC) maintains one of the most active competition schedules in the country. These all-day competitions include high profile televised national and international events that have a lasting impact on King County’s image in the region and country. Job Duties
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform heavy-duty cleaning and related maintenance work during highly participated sporting events and banquet hall functions.
- Clean and maintain stadium seats, concourses, corridors, stairways, rooms, and large gathering spaces.
- Safeguard exterior sidewalks, patios, and stairwells; using blowers and pressure washers as needed.
- Perform high volume trash management, including collecting recycling and compost.
- Respond to spills and biohazardous incidents; clean and disinfect area and equipment; properly dispose of contaminated waste.
- Complete work assignments efficiently using initiative, problem-solving skills, and good judgment.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Demonstrated experience with basic janitorial cleaning techniques and cleaning products.
- Experience in the use and care of cleaning equipment.
- Experience operating floor scrubber, floor buffer, and other applicable cleaning equipment.
- Computer experience to complete timesheets, read and respond to email, and perform some administrative tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Required Certifications:
- First Aid
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Bloodborne Pathogen.

Supplemental Information
Working Conditions:
- Work Location: This position is located at King County Aquatics Center, 650 SW Campus Dr., Federal Way, WA 98023
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. The work schedule is Saturday – Sunday 7 AM – 5:30 PM and Monday – Tuesday 11 AM – 9:30 PM. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is represented by Service Employees International Union, Local 925.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
