KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Identify and prioritize funding sources, including individual donors, corporations, and foundations.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, supporters, and partners.
- Create and implement donor cultivation and stewardship plans to engage and retain supporters.
- Organize events and activities to connect with donors and promote the organization’s mission.
Grants Management
- Research, identify, and apply for grants from foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
- Coordinate the development of grant proposals, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals and meet application requirements.
- Manage reporting requirements for grant funding.
Campaign Management
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns including annual giving, major gifts, and subscription giving.
- Create compelling campaign materials.
Fundraising Events
- Plan and execute a variety of events including our annual gala, golf outing, awards luncheon, and third-party/P2P fundraisers.
- Identify and secure corporate sponsorships for events.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, community groups, and individuals to enhance event support and create opportunities for donor engagement during events to strengthen relationships and encourage ongoing giving.
Data Management & Analysis
- Implement and maintain the organization’s donor management system to track and analyze donor information.
- Utilize data to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in fundraising, incorporating new strategies into Cancer Hope Network’s fundraising efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience as an Assistant Director or Director of Development
Proven experience in fundraising and development
Exceptional writer
Strong leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices
Strong knowledge of Blackbaud RENXT
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans effectively
Results-oriented and able to meet aggressive fundraising targets
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
