Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Engineer located in Danville, IL. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and wellbeing of employees by overseeing the implementation of occupational health, safety, and security programs, training employees on safety practices. The Safety Engineer will work closely with the entire operation and report to EHS manager to ensure that all requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, and Security skills
- Experience in training employees on safety practices .
- Experience in Safety procedures implementation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Bilingual: English, Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, industrial engineering, Chemical Engeneering Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Desirable Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 30 general industry, ISO45001 internal auditor.
