Areas of Responsibility
  • Driving the company’s financial strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage the finance team and outsourced accounting team, including setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating a positive and collaborative work culture
  • Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement the company’s overall business strategy and ensure financial sustainability
  • Create and manage a financial plan and budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum return on investment
  • Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and risk mitigation
  • Oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, compliance, and treasury
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors, lenders, and vendors, to manage financial risk and secure funding as needed financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, promoting transparency and accountability
  • Control and evaluate the company’s fundraising plans and capital structure
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the company’s operations
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Ensure compliance with external commercial bank loan

Ideal Qualifications for this Position
  • Proven experience as a CFO in a similar executive finance leadership role in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills – Healthcare experience a plus and experience in Medicare/reimbursement or familiarity with Medicare a plus.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead an effective finance team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all company stakeholders, including board preparation and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate financial data and metrics, with a deep understanding of finance analytics and tools
  • Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong business acumen and financial acuity, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Experience in fundraising and M&A is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field

  • This position is primarily remote, with some presence in our Denver, Colorado office necessary at times.
  • The ability to work productively and without interruption or distraction during Mountain Time business hours is essential.
