We are seeking a Contract Litigation Attorney (Part-Time) to join our team, specifically to address a growing number of cases pending in New York. YK LAW LLP, based in Los Angeles, is experiencing an increased caseload in the New York area and requires a local attorney to handle these matters effectively. This remote position is designed for those based in New York, NY, and offers the flexibility of part-time hours, estimated at 10-30 per month. Compensation is on an hourly basis. In addition, we provide malpractice coverage for the attorney engaged in this role.

Our firm specializes in various legal domains and is now looking to enhance our team with a dedicated Contract Litigation Attorney who will bring expertise and efficiency to our increasing New York caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle all pre-trial litigation stages (pleading, motion, discovery, etc.) for our New York cases.
  • Adapt to various litigation challenges, demonstrating professional skill and acumen.
  • Manage cases remotely, ensuring effective case progression and adherence to all deadlines.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients and the team, providing updates and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with team members as needed, while largely working independently.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed attorney in New York.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Proven capability in managing pre-trial litigation stages independently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in litigation matters.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload.

Compensation:

  • This position offers a competitive rate of $75 per hour.
  • Expected commitment is 10-30 hours per month.
  • Malpractice coverage provided.
