Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Experienced Probate and Trust Paralegal to join our team at Kelly Longtin Law in North Andover, MA. As a paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with all aspects of probate and trust matters. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and file court documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and other legal documents.
- Assist with drafting estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Research legal issues and prepare legal memoranda.
- Assist with the administration of trusts, including asset transfers, trust funding, and distributions.
- Liaise with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals as needed.
- Maintain client files and organize documents.
This is an on-site role; remote work will not be possible for this position.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a probate and trust paralegal.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business software.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts probate, New Hampshire probate and trust procedures is preferred.
