Our product portfolio spans cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal preservation devices to improve donor organ quality and extend donor organ transport time.
Position Overview
The Sr. Staff Accountant will work directly with the Controller and assist with recording and reconciling revenue and inventory, month-end close, including journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. We are looking for a professional who is eager to learn, not afraid to take on some additional tasks and responsibilities and be a team player. This is a great role for someone who wants to learn all accounting cycles from receivables, inventory to payables and equity.
This is a hybrid role. We require our employees to come into the office (Waltham MA) 3 times a week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle A/P including vendor setup, proper general ledger coding, invoice processing and approvals, weekly vendor payment runs and vendor inquiries
- Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices
- Follow up with customers on payments
- Reconcile cash daily and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare inventory journal entries and reconciliation and investigate any discrepancies
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Post journal entries, including amortization and depreciation
- Assist auditors in the performance of year-end financial audits/reviews
- Assist with Sunshine Act reporting
- Ad hoc projects & inter-departmental requests
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- NetSuite proficiency is required
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
- Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage responsibilities under strict deadlines
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Candidate must be well organized and detail oriented
