The Opportunity:

Horizon Bitumen Production is looking for a Plant Maintenance Coordinator! Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will ensure that all activities completed by Maintenance Contractors and Support Groups meet or exceed the requirements set forth in company policies, standards and procedures regarding safety, production and quality.

Job location: Horizon Oil Sands – Fort McMurray, Alberta
Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, day shifts, 12 hours per day
Safety sensitive position : Yes

Key Accountabilities:

Coordinate and drive consistency while holding maintenance contractors accountable to safety, cost and schedule
Participate with schedule development, hours required per work order and monitor execution
Report performance to scheduler for Key Performance Indicators
Work with Reliability and Asset Integrity to ensure schedule addresses risks to production
Be aware of cost and utilization of rental equipment and cranes
Review, update, and keep procedures compliant

Skills & Qualifications:

5 to 10 + years of industrial plant maintenance experience with 3-5 years of leadership experience is required.
- Must have the ability to influence and guide team members in achieving a common goal of working together
Minimum high school diploma is required, along with Journeyman (mechanical or E/I) certificate or a technical degree
Exceptional problem-solving skill with proven analytical abilities enabling the consideration of details and complexities of issues, while driving results
Technical ability to complete administrative obligations in a timely manner with the programs and software provided (including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Maximo, Minitab and Tableau)
Demonstrated success utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, would be considered an asset
