WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Replenish inventory for stock
• Purchase non-stock material for customer orders, including rush buys
• Review inventory for given supplier to assure proper mix, fill rate, turns & GMROI
• Create new items for inventory and maintain pricing within system
• Reallocate surplus inventory between branch locations
• Analyze, recommend and execute special purchases for lower total cost with suppliers
• Establish and maintain solid supplier relationships
• Complete annual supplier evaluations for primary suppliers, as per ISO requirement
• Maintain vendor information on our computer network
• Expedite purchase orders when required

 

University of Guelph Remote Jobs No Experience (Data Entry Jobs, Full Time) in US

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor Degree in Business or related field or 5 years purchasing experience
• 3+ years supply chain experience
• Experience with purchasing or replenishment business systems (some knowledge of electrical, electronic or industrial products helpful)
• Ability to analyze data, report findings and made recommendations
• Competent using internet and company intranet
• Strong people skills for building and maintaining supplier relationships
• Ability to demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• .Worked in Manufacturing and/or Distribution Industry with experience with Eclipse or other ERP systems.
• Knowledge and execution of a quality system (ISO preferred), LEAN Six Sigma principles.
• Technical competency in business financial analysis, reporting and interpretation for inventory management, fill rate and supplier performance.
