p>Under direction of the National Sales Manager, the National Account Manager is responsible for growing National Account business and increasing the sales profits of a portfolio of major National appliance accounts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the company’s attainment of volume, revenue, and profit targets with emphasis on building a strong reputation through superior customer service.
  • Assists in the development of sales programs, product selection and pricing for dealer business
  • Sells to and services National Accounts through direct store contact and contact with key account contacts.
  • Builds and maintains a rapport with major accounts to provide service and achieve sales targets
  • Supports all accounts in their sales efforts by recommending in store merchandising, product advertising, retail markets, and new products
  • Ensures that customers receive their orders on schedule and by communicating with the Inside Sales team for status report
  • Trains sales personnel on product specifications and features
  • Remains current on knowledge of all Danby products and those of our competitors
  • Monitors performance against the budget and tracks product segments
  • Knowledgeable about the competitive market to ensure on-going key account business and generate more sales
  • Collaborates with the National Sales Manager to develop annual business plans and budgets.
  • Ensures an understanding of sales and programs by account
  • Remains knowledgeable on competitors throughout Canada to improve sales
  • As required assists in collection of accounts receivable in conjunction with A/R staff to ensure rapid and effective collection.
  • Assists at trade shows and private sales as required.

Qualifications:

  • A University degree in Business and/or Marketing is required plus three to five years related experience in selling and servicing major accounts or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the appliance industry and retail channels is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills related to negotiating, analyzing sales figures, presenting, and selling products to clients.
  • Candidates must have an excellent grasp of brand building and customer service coupled with strong communications skills.
  • Must have proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and customers.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Please note that the Hybrid Work Schedule requires that candidates be in the office Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
